Temporary NaNoWriMo hiatus announcement

Salutations, readers.

Due to the “celebration” of NaNoWriMo, the usual blog updates will be discontinued temporarily. I still might occasionally upload a short piece to entertain you, but my main drive will be trying to complete a short novel during this month. I already have decided on the setting, the characters and the main beat of the story, but these things usually change en route. It will be a completely new idea, unrelated to my blog or my weird contemporary fantasy erotica ongoing series, The Esoterotic Misadventures of Stuart Moot.

I hope you forgive the hiatus and enjoy its outcome, if I judge it good enough to share. See you next month. Happy November reading and/or writing!

Planar Pilgrims

Much is not yet known about the structure of our universe. While our scientific understanding of the nature of theoretical dimensions and complex quantum concepts grows with increasing celerity, there are yet many things we don’t understand. Other creatures, however, might experience reality from incredibly different points of view. Some of these beings might have earned this capabilities through study and technology, while others could very well grow with inherent talents or senses that open completely new possibilities for them. This, obviously, is all theory, but human folklore all over the world is filled with examples of creatures that cross into our world from other dimensions or planes of existence.

Eternal Companions

We came from beyond. From a place with no heat, with no cold. No height, no width, no depth. Just time and something else you wouldn’t understand. We had no bodies. We didn’t need them. We had no culture, no society, no need for friends nor family. We just came to be. But we had an active intellect, innate curiosity and something resembling eternal life. From within our world we were able to sense the imprints of other minds elsewhere, out of our reach. Some of us found a way to touch these minds, opening through them a gate to a different aspect of the cosmos. Most of our brethren followed.

The Devil's Due

“So,” Amitael finished after meticulously explaining his proposal, “this way everyone can end up happily gratified.”
“I don’t know,” said Ellen, desperately fighting her own unsatisfied urges. “Even if I were to trust you to keep your word…”
“You should,” interrupted the demon.
“Even if I did,” she continued, “I wouldn’t know what to do, and Catarina doesn’t need to finish… Doing… Well, that. You are obviously fully recovered,” she added, unable to look away from the demon’s mesmerising magenta member.
